Good morning! Just enjoying a breakfast cookie and coffee here while I watch an episode of Saved By The Bell with Noodle. Up and about this morning so I can get some things done before I work from 10-2. Hitting up the gym after that for a cardio/weight training workout. I didn’t work out yesterday and I must say, it was nice to have a day off. I do usually take days off from the gym every once in awhile, but I typically feel guilty, but yesterday, I didn’t even feel bad! And I didn’t change my eating so that the calories would “balance out.” I stuck on track and it felt great! I am not trying to imply that I still am dealing with an eating disorder (I have been free of that for a few years now) but it really still messes with your mind. I had all of these engrained ideas about how you are supposed to eat (how many calories, how much exercise, etc) and it is so very freeing to not have those types of ideas running your life. I must admit, I still weigh myself every time I go to the gym (a habit I am trying to break) but how I use it is changing. Instead of using my weight as a gauge for how successful/unsuccessful I am for the day, I having been using it just to see where I fall. I do hope in the future to break that habit.
On another note, I have an older sister who had a baby a little less than a year ago and has avidly been working on getting back into shape. I am working on an interview/segment with her to track her progress, ask her questions, and get the “mommy” side of weight loss.
Random questions that have come about from this blog:
What is a good substitute for agave nectar?
I researched this and found that agave nectar is just a healthier alternative for sugar. This being said, if you cannot find agave at your local grocer honey is a good alternative.
Are you a vegetarian now?
I do not really consider myself vegetarian/vegan/etc. Although I haven’t eaten meat for a while now, I still enjoy it. I have just found that my body really likes all the vegetable/soy/grain I have been eating lately. I have also cut down on artificial sweeteners. Since I have always been an active participate in trying to be as healthy as I can, tweaking my food intake was just the next logical step. I am not trying to get everyone to decrease their meat intake, but I hope that my readers can take a few tips and tricks from my blog and help move their lifestyles in a more healthy direction.
What is your goal for this blog?
I want to share my love for life and health with everyone I can. It also really helps me (not to be too selfish), because it shows me how much I have to appreciate in life. I have been getting such positive feedback from my readers and it makes me smile on a daily basis. I hope everyone is getting as much out of it as I am!

Well time to get to work on the day. I am preparing Mexican for Joey and myself for dinner and I am so excited! I think I am going to do a half and half meal, meaning slightly different variations for both of us. Joey does not really go for the vegan cheese/meat substitues that I like, so I will be showing 2 healthy versions of one great meal! Can’t wait! Hope everyone has a great day, and send some customers my way to Banana so I can get my sales up!!
