It's Friday!

Morning to all! Really quick post this morning because I had such an AWESOME breakfast I wanted to share!

Pumpkin Oats:

1/2 cup almond milk

1/4 cup water

1/2 cup oats

1/2 packet stevia

A few shakes of cinnamon

1/2 banana mashed in oats

1/2 banana sliced on top

1/4 cup organic pumpkin puree

1 tbsp natural peanut butter on top

This along with some Sugar Cookie coffee! YUMMY!

Last night Joey got us gyros for dinner.

It was my first encounter with meat in over three weeks. Don’t get me wrong they were very good, but I’m in a current state of purgatory about meat eating. I’m going to think about it and start a new year with a decision. Any comments/thoughts about this are more than welcome!

Time to start studying and hit up the gym! Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

  1. Thanks for the comment, maybe this will be a good Friday! I just had myself an oatmeal concoction for breakfast, too. I love oatmeal! Yours sounds awesome. I made a bowl with some pumpkin puree a couple of weeks ago. yum. About going vegetarian, I could do it, but I like fish and chicken too much (and the occasional steak, too).
What are your reasons for doing it?

  2. I have been vegetarian in the past, but as the above poster said, I enjoy meat sometimes. Do what "feels" right for you!!!

Those gyros look sooooooo yummy!! :)

  3. I started off being a vegetarian as a challenge for myself, but the more I learned about it, the more it became a moral decision. I do it in protest against the meat industry. Like the two people above said, it's whatever is best for you! There's no need to pin yourself to a label. If you want to be mostly veggie, with the occasional chicken (beef, fish, what have you), then go for it!

  5. Thank you all for your comments! They are much appreciated. I do hate the label thing. I am leaning towards vegetarian though (and i have been vegetarian in the past for over a year when I was about 20) because since I have been eating this way the past few weeks my body/mind/spirit has reacted in such a wonderful way. But who knows, im thinking mostyl meatless except maybe when I really feel like I need it!
